Childproofing your Recreational Vehicle
When an infant or toddler is exposed to a new environment it provides an opportunity to learn and explore. This also increases the risk of injury. A recreational vehicle, similar to inside and around a home, cannot be fully child-proofed, but having layers of protection can help reduce injury risk. This is important because constant supervision, while recommended, is not always 100% possible.

- Install electrical outlet covers.
- Use gates (leading to exit stairs, climbable areas, kitchen).
- Use of travel cribs for use while relaxing, cooking, and bathing.

Childproofing Equipment
The following childproofing preventive measures will help to reduce exposure to injury risk in the RV.
Travel Highchair: A travel highchair is lightweight and stores easily. Follow instructions carefully and make sure to use the harness strap as recommended for each use. This prevents a child from reaching and pulling themselves over and/or standing and falling (these rules apply to highchairs at home as well).
