Injury Prevention Safety Networks (IPSN)Pro Consumer Safety has developed Injury Prevention Safety Networks (IPSN) in an effort to promote and implement injury prevention programs to decrease injury risk behavior and promote healthy lifestyles to build healthier communities.
|
The IPSN's are community-based Pro Consumer Safety coalitions that integrate injury prevention professionals, local and state agencies (public health, law enforcement, fire, etc.), hospitals, schools, community organizations and businesses. The IPSN's are unique in that each coalition is governed through by-laws that promote common objectives to achieve effectiveness and sustainability. An IPN can also utilize the Cognitive Based Integrative (CBI) Programs to reduce risk behaviors at the primary and secondary levels of prevention.
IPSN-Public Health Graduate Student (PHGS) programs are IPSN's that are also available, coordinated by public health graduate student programs affiliated with CDC funded Injury Control Research Centers.
For information on hosting an IPSN in your community call 323-491-6197 or email IPN@proconsumersafety.com.
